Inspire Students to Tackle New Challenges and Create Canada’s Next Great Innovations
Elementary students explore how technology has shaped Canada’s past and present while developing their own ideas for future innovations. They learn about Canadian inventors, changes in key industries, and use creativity to design solutions to real-world problems.
Students are also introduced to basic financial literacy, including responsible spending, saving, and setting short- and long-term goals.

Technological Innovation & Economy
During this interactive, in-class program, students will:
Match traditional technologies with modern technologies
As a group, use clues to learn about Canadian inventors
Participate in a mock auction to demonstrate the demand for different types of products/technologies
Discuss new technologies that students use regularly in the classroom or at home
Present an idea for a new invention for a future technology that they would find useful to have
By the end of this program, students will have the confidence and ability to think creatively. This will inspire them to tackle new challenges and create Canada’s next great innovations.
