In this financial literacy program, students develop an understanding of key financial issues, including how education, income, and planning impact personal money management. They learn the importance of budgeting, saving, investing, making informed credit choices, and protecting themselves from financial risks.

Personal Money Management
During this interactive, in-class program, students will:
Discuss factors that will affect their ability to comfortably afford the cost of living in the future
Create a savings plan
Play a card game to explore budgeting concepts
Match credit card facts with real-world scenarios
Create a public service announcement about a credit card fact they’ve learned
Assess potential risks to their personal finances and learn preventative methods to limit potential losses
By the end of the program, students will have a personal finance plan and clear goals for their financial security.

We request at least 1 hour or 1 class period of time in class
Registration is required at least 6 weeks before your preferred date (some exceptions may apply)
JA volunteers are guest speakers, classroom supervision is required
