Skilled Trade Summit
In Partnership with Colleges and Institutes Canada
JA Canada is partnering with Colleges and Institutes Canada to host Skilled Trades Summits across the country. By providing a hands-on experience, students will enhance their understanding and knowledge of skilled trades as a meaningful and fulfilling career path.
This learning experience includes a full-day in-person event hosted on-site at colleges and institutes across Southern Alberta.

Prepared for the Future
During this program, students will:
Analyze key components of the trades sector, including the necessary training, experience, and education for various careers
Recognize the value of labour market research in identifying career opportunities in trades
Explain how transferable skills can enable career success
Develop both technical and transferable skills through immersive, hands-on learning labs
Utilize acquired knowledge and skills to create a comprehensive career plan
By the end of the program, students will have a personal finance plan and clear goals for their financial security.

COMMITMENT
We request at least 1 hour or 1 class period of time in class
Registration is required at least 6 weeks before your preferred date (some exceptions may apply)
JA volunteers are guest speakers, classroom supervision is required
